Happy New Year from LIFA!
As we step into 2025, I am filled with gratitude and hope. On behalf of the Livestock Industry Foundation for Africa (LIFA), I wish you and your loved ones a joyous and prosperous new year.
In the past year, we have continued to share knowledge and build capacity across 15 African countries, focusing on the impact of climate change on poultry health and nutrition. Our climate-smart mitigation strategies have empowered poultry farmers to adapt to the changing climate. We are proud of our partnership with Zoetis Alpha Initiatives and Zoetis Foundation, which has supported our work since 2019.
As we begin this new year, I am honored to announce that our future training programs will incorporate special attention to women poultry farmers’ mental health issues and wellness. We recognize the critical role women play in poultry farming, particularly in South Sahara Africa. By supporting their mental health and resilience, we aim to empower them to better cope with the effects of climate change.
This year, our LIFA knowledge sharing team will be visiting yet another six countries in Africa, namely: Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Senegal
We are excited to share our expertise and learn from the experiences of poultry farmers in these countries.
At LIFA, we believe that investing in women’s mental health and wellness is essential to building stronger, more resilient communities. We are committed to providing training and resources that address the unique challenges faced by women poultry farmers.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our partners, supporters, and team members for their tireless efforts and dedication. I am also humbled by the recognition I received as the Best Innovator of the Year 2024 by the Farm Foundation of America.
Wishing You a Brighter Year Ahead
May 2025 bring you joy, prosperity, and success in all your endeavors.
Best regards,
Dr. Stephen Adejoro
