LIFA EXPANDS ITS REACH: PLANS TO ESTABLISH REGIONAL OFFICES ACROSS SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA

Livestock Industry Foundation for Africa (LIFA) has announced plans to establish regional offices across Sub-Saharan Africa; a strategic move aimed at strengthening its grassroots engagement and expanding the impact of its livestock development initiatives across the continent.

As part of its ongoing mission to promote sustainable livestock production, climate resilience, and capacity building among livestock farmers, veterinarians, and allied stakeholders, LIFA recognizes the need for decentralized coordination to better serve communities in diverse regions.

According to Dr. Stephen Adejoro, President and Founder of LIFA, the establishment of regional offices will ensure that the Foundation’s programs such as the Knowledge Update Programme on Poultry Health and Nutrition and its Climate-Resilient Livestock Advocacy Campaigns are more accessible, responsive, and tailored to local realities.

Our goal is to move closer to the farmers, partners, and institutions we support. By setting up regional offices, LIFA will be able to strengthen collaboration, improve training access, and create localized solutions that foster food security and sustainable livestock livelihoods across Africa,” Dr. Adejoro stated.

The regional offices will serve as coordination hubs for program delivery, research dissemination, policy advocacy, and partnership development. Through these hubs, LIFA will enhance its visibility, optimize communication with regional stakeholders, and create more efficient platforms for monitoring and evaluation of field activities.

This expansion aligns with LIFA’s commitment to “One Africa, One Livestock Vision,” a vision that champions inclusive growth, innovation, and collaboration to transform Africa’s livestock industry into a driver of economic prosperity and rural development.

With ongoing collaborations and technical support from international partners, LIFA’s planned regional structure will cover West, East, and Central, positioning the organization to respond more effectively to challenges such as disease outbreaks, feed scarcity, and climate-induced production risks.

LIFA remains committed to empowering livestock farmers and professionals through knowledge dissemination, innovation, and advocacy for policies that support sustainable and equitable livestock development across Africa.
